eeeeeek!!
I've been a bit busy as of late and managed to let the release date of crookedmountaincrookedsea's ep "I watched it from the roadside" pass me by... It was tracked and mastered here at Peak with the band themselves doing an awesome job of mixing the record themselves! Go grab a copy from iTunes or from smalltownamerica.co.uk
Tonight also sees the final touches being made to The Brilliantly Simple's new ep, "Trees". This really is going to be a belter of a record with some beautiful songwriting on it. Will keep you posted about a release date.

Rock-ok-ok-oksound!!!
This week see's a double whammy for Peak in this months Rocksound.
First we have Killington Falls' new ep getting them a piece in the "introducing" section and their track "To a God unknown" grabbing a space on the cover mount cd!! Definitely worth getting the mag for this track alone :)
And B: Los' new single "Gold" gets 8/10 from Pulled apart by horses in Rocksounds singles section. The track comes out today and is available from iTunes and a very limited run of screen printed hard copies are available from www.wearelos.com.

Back Home.
So I'm back home after a 15 hour journey home due to they ferry companies going crazy. It was an amazing trip and I got to record some amazing music. Here's a link to a few more photos from the sessions.
We ended up finishing the whole record at the airfield with all bass being recorded in the makeshift control room and then re-amping through two amps in the main room. We then spent the Saturday tracking vocals in a home made booth :) and finishing off the tracks with some samples of old speeches. Now I'm home i'll give it a week and then start the mixes..............

Recording In an Airport......
I've been in France since Sunday recording the new Granit 665 album. With the drums and guitar all finished I thought I'd post some pictures of everything we've been doing so far.... This Link should take you to a Flickr gallery. We have been recording for the most part at the local airfield in one of the smaller hangers. We also spent a day at Mael's house (the drummer) recording all 10 songs in what was the local school house. Once that was done we decamped to the airfield to set the drums up again so we could hear the different sound each room gave the drums, with the hanger winning hands down :) Anywhooo we are about to leave to spend the day recording bass so i'll update tonight with some info on how we did the guitars and how to stop air traffic!!

Location Location Location
Spent the weekend recording the new los single in a warehouse full of toilet paper! Really worth the trip as the whole thing sounded huge. Two songs recorded live with no drop ins or overdubs. The guitar and Moog were re-amped after the tracking was done just to help with separation on the mics but we left the snare on throughout just to give it a sense of context and space. Here's a pic of the "mobile" studio and I'll get some more of the room up when I can.

Also, along with running the studio I am now available to engineer freelance. Happy to travel across Europe (or further) to record albums and e.ps. Get in touch for more info.
